Role Overview As a Data Engineer, you’ll take a founding role in designing, building, and scaling the data platform that powers the core recommendation engine and personalization features. You’ll work closely with machine learning teams to develop robust data pipelines, feature stores, and experimentation layers—ensuring performance, privacy, and observability are built into every layer of the stack. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain ETL processes to transform raw app events into machine learning–ready features Design and operate real-time and batch data pipelines to track user behavior and key product events Contribute to feature stores, embedding generation pipelines, and systems for data validation and freshness monitoring Create and maintain data infrastructure to support A/B testing, product analytics, and ML model training Collaborate with ML engineers to build data adapters for model inputs, embeddings, and training loops Continuously evolve event schemas and data models for better privacy, performance, and downstream utility What We Look For Skills: 3–6 years of experience building scalable data systems in product-led or fast-paced environments Proficiency with modern data tooling such as Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, Redis, Terraform, and Feast Familiarity with recommendation systems, ranking models, or feed-based platforms Understanding of how ML models consume data features and how that impacts user experience A systems-first thinker with the ability to design for performance, reliability, and compliance Qualifications Required Experience: 3–6 years in data engineering, ideally with exposure to consumer products or ML pipelines Bonus Points: Experience with A/B testing platforms, personalization infrastructure, or recommendation engines Job Location Gurgaon What We Offer Join a high-ownership, founding team shaping the core of the product experience Build critical systems powering real-time recommendations and personalization Market-competitive compensation and significant ESOPs A fast-moving, collaborative work culture that encourages experimentation and autonomy Real opportunity to shape how people discover and build meaningful relationships Show more Show less
