The Marketing Data Platform (MDP) team is seeking to add an senior resource to its technical team to manage and optimize cloud resources that facilitate critical MDP business and data flows

·      8-12 years’ experience in designing, building, and maintaining Cloud infrastructure in Azure

·      Deep familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) / Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) environments (Specifically with air-gapped environments) including user data handling, network configuration, Hardware provisioning, vulnerability resolution, performance analysis and fine-tuning (replacement would need to be comfortable fielding these issues)

• Understands performance needs across environment resources while balancing budgetary concerns. This may include proactive fine-tuning of our Azure environment with regards to Databricks notebook compute allocation, SQL Database compute and storage adjustments, deployment of new resources to meet our team’s growing needs without budget bloat and constant vigilance around archival and deprecated of outdated systems.

• Understanding of Azure fundamentals. In no particular order: Azure Structure/Layout(subscription vs resource groups vs resource), group permissions, VNet/private endpoints configuration, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Enterprise Applications. When and how to best utilize Azure toolset for a given problem.
• Understanding of basic networking, including DNS, ports, and firewall configurations. In our case, inbound vs outbound traffic restrictions come up often. (not needed to be an expert but at least being decently familiar with basic networking concepts would be required)
• Proficiency with PYTHON and API, SQL to a lesser degree. Knowledge of PYTHON /.ipynb.    Help with guiding colleagues on any issues, lay out pseudocode and test basic API calls for requirement gathering stage of a project.
• Have technical expertise with Azure Blob storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Pipelines, Apache Spark
• Experience with security best practices, archival strategies, problem identification and resolution with great attention to detail.
• Access provisioning (AD groups), Key rotation, and basic understanding of certificates.
• Proven ability to coordinate across teams.  Understanding internal bureaucracy, where to raise tickets, who is a key contact, proper escalation channels.
• Experience managing cross-functional meetings and scrum stand-ups focused on infrastructure delivery and issue resolution.
• Ability to lead stress testing, connectivity validation, and tool compatibility checks (Tableau, on-prem SSMS, Power BI work coordination across our environments)
• Understanding of major cost drivers, recurring vs upfront infrastructure expenses. The ability to stay within budget as we grow our Azure footprint.
• Stakeholder Coordination, Requirements Gathering, Solution Design & Scoping
• Acted as bridge between engineering, security, and vendors during setup and reviews.
• Design backbone architecture for new data sources and integrations, identifying security, network and infra needs.
• Served as main contact between vendor and internal dev team to gather technical documentation, credentials and access requirements, then this was handed off to developer for execution.
• Ability to maintain and evolve documentation (or coordinate its creation) including lifecycle stages from development to deployment.
• Excellent Communication skills, positive attitude with proactive approach. Self driven with strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills for working effectively in cross-functional teams
• Must have led a team of minimum 3-5 members

Good to have knowledge of Marketing Domain preferably in B2B setup
