Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Design Engineer to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with UAE codes, ASHRAE standards, and sustainable building practices. Key Responsibilities: Design HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) including ductwork, chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems, and ventilation layouts. Conduct heat load calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., HAP, Carrier E20, or similar). Prepare design documents, BOQs, technical specifications, and detailed shop drawings. Coordinate HVAC systems with electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams to avoid design conflicts. Ensure HVAC design compliance with local regulations, international codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, DEWA, etc.), and green building standards (LEED, Estidama, etc.). Review and approve contractor/shop drawings and material submittals. Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during installation and commissioning. Engage in value engineering and propose energy-efficient HVAC solutions. Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers for technical clarifications and design updates. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3–7 years of HVAC design experience. Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and UAE building codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, and other HVAC software tools. Knowledge of sustainable HVAC design practices is a plus. Strong communication and coordination skills. Show more Show less
