Position: Head Teacher

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Implementation & Classroom Leadership

a. Design and deliver engaging, brain-responsive, and developmentally aligned

lesson plans, tailored to individual child needs and interests.

b. Create a classroom culture that reflects joyful learning, purposeful

exploration, and values-centred teaching.

c. Embed inquiry-based learning, storytelling, and multisensory strategies into

daily routines.

d. Integrate opportunities for creative expression, movement, language,

numeracy, and socio-emotional growth.

2. Team Mentorship & Collaboration

a. Lead and guide assistant teachers and caregivers through regular planning,

modeling, and feedback.

b. Foster a culture of reflection, open communication, and shared ownership

within the classroom team.

3. Observation, Assessment & Documentation

a. Conduct ongoing observations, formative assessments, and learning

documentation.

b. Maintain child portfolios that highlight progress across developmental

domains.

c. Prepare progress reports and lead goal-setting conversations with families.

4. Family Engagement & Partnership

a. Build strong, trusting relationships with parents through regular

communication, PTMs, and learning showcases.

b. Collaborate with families to co-create strategies that support holistic child

development at home and school.

5. Environment & Safety Stewardship

a. Ensure the classroom is an aesthetically pleasing, safe, and inclusive space

that aligns with ethoes.

b. Uphold all health, hygiene, and safeguarding protocols with consistency and

care.

6. Professional Learning & Advocacy

a. Actively participate in training sessions, curriculum reviews, and learning

communities. Represent us in school tours, open houses, and public forums

with professionalism and warmth.


Required Qualifications & Educational Background

1. Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development,

Education, or a related field.

2. Diploma/Postgraduate Certificate in Montessori, NTT, ECCE, or Waldorf/Region

inspired methodologies is preferred.

3. 3–5 years of lead teaching experience in a high-quality preschool or early years

environment.

4. Proven experience in curriculum execution, classroom leadership, and family

engagement.
