Head Strategic Sourcing

Purpose/Objective

To lead, develop, and execute the strategic sourcing and supply chain operations for the Missiles vertical at the Hyderabad site. The role is responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement of missile systems, subsystems, and critical components. The Head Strategic Sourcing – Missiles will drive supplier relationship management, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives, compliance, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated and technologically advanced environment.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Key Accountabilities 1. Timely Delivery of Missiles Sourcing Requirements: Ensure on-time procurement of missile systems, subsystems, and critical components with the right quality and competitive commercial contracts. 2. End-to-End Supply Chain Oversight: Lead and execute supply chain operations for the missiles vertical, establishing robust processes, systems, governance, and reporting frameworks. 3. Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and manage strategic partnerships with domestic and international suppliers specializing in missile technologies, propulsion, guidance, warheads, and electronics. 4. Data-Driven Decision Making: Drive digital transformation for supply chain visibility, leveraging dashboards and analytics for monitoring and control. 5. Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing supply chain team focused on the unique requirements of the missiles business. Additional Responsibilities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Engineering, Quality, Program Management) to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and drive continuous improvement. - Negotiate favorable terms and mitigate risks in contracts for missile-related materials and services. - Oversee Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to ensure demand-supply alignment for missile programs.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience & Educational Requirements - Educational Qualifications: Must have B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Electronics/Aerospace) from a reputed engineering college. - Relevant Experience: Minimum 20 years, with at least 10 years in supply chain management for defence/missiles business.
