Manager Sourcing-Plastic | Rubber | Paint

Role & responsibilities

To lead sourcing, development, cost management, and supplier performance for plastic,rubber,paint & sticker non-metal parts used in EV commercial vehicles, ensuring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets are met for current production and future variants.

1. Supplier Sourcing & Development

• Identify, evaluate, develop, and induct plastic & rubber part suppliers and tooling/mould suppliers.
• Drive supplier onboarding including technical capability, quality systems, capacity, and commercial evaluation.
• Develop long-term supplier partnerships aligned with business growth.

2. Product & Tooling Development

• Lead development of injection moulded plastic parts and rubber components from concept to mass production.
• Coordinate with suppliers on mould design, DFM, flow analysis (Moldflow exposure desirable) and trials.
• Ensure timely tool design, manufacturing, validation, and buy-off.

3. Costing & Commercial Management

• Estimate, negotiate, and finalize part cost and tooling cost.
• Drive cost optimisation / VA-VE / localisation initiatives.
• Possess strong commercial acumen to balance cost, quality, and supplier sustainability.

4. Quality & PPAP Management

• Ensure PPAP completion and successful mass production readiness for current and upcoming variants.
• Support supplier quality improvement initiatives .

5. Capacity & Delivery Management

• Assess supplier capacity against annual volume requirements.
• Drive capacity enhancement plans to support ramp-up and new variants.
• Monitor delivery performance and mitigate supply risks.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience in injection moulded components development
• Exposure to mould design, tool development, and flow analysis
• Strong negotiation, commercial, and supplier management skills
• Experience in EV / automotive OEM / Tier-1 environment preferred
