Position Title: Head of Procurement & Supply Chain - India Industry: Manufacturing Location: Bangalore / Pune, India Reporting to: Global CPO (Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer) Function: Supply Chain Management | Procurement | Logistics | Strategy Experience: 17-20 years (including 5-10 years in leadership roles) About The Opportunity A leading global manufacturing organization, undergoing strategic realignment, is in the process of establishing an independent industrial business. This transformation offers a rare opportunity to be part of building a stand-alone company designed to meet the rapidly evolving demands of the automotive sector. As part of this effort, we are seeking a Head of Procurement & Supply Chain to lead regional operations in India. The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing a globally aligned end-to-end supply chain strategy, while driving regional execution with high autonomy and accountability. Key Responsibilities Lead the execution of regional end-to-end (E2E) supply chain and procurement strategies aligned with global objectives. Maintain compliance with global frameworks while exercising independent decision-making on region-specific operations. Oversee supply chain performance metrics, including planning, procurement, logistics, and warehousing. Develop and optimize regional logistics strategies, ensuring operational excellence. Act as liaison between global and regional teams to ensure seamless coordination. Manage risk mitigation plans, resolve complex supply chain challenges, and ensure operational continuity. Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing India-based team, fostering a culture of ownership and innovation. Ideal Profile 17-20 years of total experience, with 5-10 years in a leadership role across procurement, planning, warehousing, and logistics. Demonstrated experience in global logistics management, preferably within the automotive sector. Proficiency in logistics tools and performance visualization platforms. Strong understanding of international trade regulations, transportation management, and customs compliance. Capable communicator, able to present and collaborate with senior global stakeholders. Holds a master's degree (preferred but not mandatory) in a technical or business discipline. Strong leadership presence with a can-do attitude and a problem-solving mindset. What We're Looking For Politically savvy, able to navigate complex organizational structures. Strategic thinker and hands-on doer - comfortable with building processes from scratch.
