Head - Planning

This profile will be responsible for combined role of Planning and Deployment of the Circle. Planning team at Airtel is responsible for developing the Network to Enhance Coverage / Capacity / Quality & Availability that helps maximize Traffic / Customer base and Business Growth. The team collaborates to conceptualize, develop and deploy products, services and platforms to enhance Network.The deployment department at Airtel is responsible for timely execution of network project rollout as per business and network plan for Mobile network.The team collaborates to conceptualize, deploy rollouts to enhance business performance. The Role need to drive a fast faced, result oriented team. The Role is accountable for extracting and delivering as per monthly rollout targets , through managed service partners , by optimal utilization of MSP (Managed Service Partners) resources and manage materials .

Key Responsibilities

Planning Deliveries

With your strategic direction, you plan the Network that is Cost effective and of state of the Art technology in 2G/ 4G / 5G

• With special focus you ensure adequate and appropriate Material available and to enable the Project to execute the plans in time. You leverage your expertise the present network to maximize the customer base and revenue and you build the network of high resilience to ensure uninterrupted delivery to the customers.
  

You build collaborative relationships with business team to draw the road map for Annual Operating Plans/ Strategies for the circle. In addition, you ensure the capex and opex controlled within the AOP and also controlling the inventories and capitalizations.

• You will ensure that the teams are very well conversant with all the products that are in the network and the new products and you will drive the POC (Proof of Concept) / FNI
  

(first node integration) that would be introduces into the network.
Deployment Deliveries

With your strategic direction, you align the team to ensure the delivery of ‘Best in Class Network’ in order to achieve key business objectives by driving network reach, scale & spread by efficient & effective Network deployment.
To establish suitable processes in order to set and monitor KPIs and Metrics for the deliverables so as to ensure execution of goals and objectives for Network Deployment.

• With special focus on Prioritization of the delivery based on the business needs in close coordination with the business, Marketing & Planning teams and responsible for aligning the teams (Internal/External) to ensure the delivery as per AOP (Annual Operating Plan).
  

You will be preparing the project plan in order to meet monthly and quarterly targets with clear understanding the bottlenecks and addressing the same with the substitute plans and ensuring the delivery is not affected.

• With a special focus on tracking and controlling the Inventory management for CWIP (capital work in progress), CIP (capitalization in progress) and SRM (Site return material).
  

RF Coverage Planning – New Site Coverage and capacity Planning for 2G, 4G & 5G voice & Data networks Key Deliverables:New sites coverage and capacity planning, Nominal validation on tools and site survey Validation.Expertise on MS Excel, Google Earth, Mapinfo etcCoordination with Circle RF planning team for nominal validation , New Site Planning Planning as per GL and finalizationExpertise required on any of the planning tool like Mentum, Asset, Planet & Atoll for Coverage Prediction, Frequency Planning, interference pattern, Model Tuning etc.In depth knowledge required on LTE planning/configuration and Basic knowledge of Optimization.Expertise on alternate solution planning like Small Cell, Femto, ULS, etc.
