Head of Collections

The Head of Collections role entails driving the end-to-end collections strategy and execution for all asset products, geographies, and customer segments to ensure minimal delinquency and optimal recovery rates. You will be responsible for leading the national collections framework, focusing on compliance, efficiency, and innovation. Additionally, safeguarding asset quality by effectively managing internal and external stakeholders across various geographies is a key aspect of this role. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing collection strategies for both secured and unsecured portfolios, and driving performance metrics such as credit cost, portfolio-wise resolution rates, and cost of collections. It will be essential to prepare and deliver collection performance updates and recovery projections to the Board, as well as develop the annual collection budget, resource plan, and agency targets. As the Head of Collections, you will be expected to monitor risk triggers and adjust strategies based on analytical insights. Moreover, you will lead and motivate large teams spread across multiple locations to achieve the desired collection objectives. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a minimum of 20 years of core experience in retail lending collections, covering both secured and unsecured portfolios. Prior experience in a national-level role within large banks or NBFCs is preferred. A graduation or post-graduation degree is required, with certifications in Credit, Collections, or Analytics being advantageous but not mandatory.,
