Job Description: Unit Chef – Shirdi We are looking for an experienced and motivated Unit Chef to join our team at Haldirams' Shirdi outlet. As a Unit Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production across multiple sections (South Indian, Indian, Tandoor & Continental etc) and ensuring the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Manage food production across different sections of the kitchen. Plan and control food wastage, inventory, and variances. Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring team efficiency. Receive and check stock, ensuring quality and accuracy. Oversee opening and closing shifts, as per requirements. Evaluate and innovate food dishes, ensuring they meet customer expectations. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards for audit compliance. Handle food cost planning and ensure budget adherence. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Design menus and develop recipes reflecting the culinary style and trends. Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and purchasing to maintain stock levels. Distribute ordered material and other food items to outlets as per indent raised by them, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery. Monitor and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met. Focus on food cost management and optimize profitability. Provide training and grooming opportunities for staff development. Requirements: Hands-on experience in food production, kitchen management, and staff supervision. Strong understanding of menu costing, food safety, and inventory management. Ability to innovate, experiment, and stay updated with culinary trends. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and audit protocols.
