Key Responsibilities -
Business Development & Market Strategy
• Identify and develop high-potential business opportunities across domestic and international
T&D markets, including transmission lines, substations, and distribution infrastructure.
• Monitor industry developments, policy shifts, and infrastructure investments to proactively
position the organization for future growth.
• Represent the company at leading industry events, forums, and conferences to build brand
equity and cultivate new relationships.
• Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with OEMs, technology providers, and EPC
collaborators to enhance solution offerings and competitive advantage.
• Liaise with internal teams to evaluate the financial and operational viability of emerging
opportunities.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the principal interface for clients throughout the tendering cycle, ensuring strategic
engagement and long-term relationship development.
• Build influential networks with government authorities (e.g., CEA, MoP, REC, PFC), industry
associations (CII, FICCI), state DISCOMs, and private sector clients.
• Engage with national policy-making bodies (CEA, NITI Aayog) and international funding agencies
(World Bank, ADB) to stay informed on upcoming opportunities and investment directions.
• Lead high-level meetings and presentations with CXOs and board-level executives to align
proposals with client expectations and strategic outcomes.
Strategic Planning & Business Reporting
• Develop and execute annual business development and tendering strategies in alignment with
the companys corporate vision.
• Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline, supported by accurate forecasting and actionable
insights.
• Track competitor activities, market dynamics, and regulatory changes to adapt and refine go-to-
market strategies.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, outlining business
development initiatives, bid outcomes, and market opportunities.
Tendering & Bid Management
• Lead the end-to-end bid processcovering bid/no-bid analysis, pre-qualification, RFP review,
and technical and commercial proposal development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and
Commercial to ensure comprehensive and compliant bid submissions.
• Conduct risk assessments and pricing analyses to ensure competitive yet profitable proposals.
• Drive post-award negotiations and contract finalization in collaboration with legal and execution
teams.
Key Skills & Competencies
• Deep expertise in power transmission and distribution systems and project delivery models.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-value, complex EPC tenders with both government and
private sector clients.
• Strong business acumen with a blend of technical proficiency and strategic foresight.
• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at the
highest levels.
• Proven ability to navigate public sector procurement procedures and multilateral funding
frameworks (e.g., World Bank, ADB, PPP).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation capabilities.
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• MBA in Marketing, Strategy, or International Business (preferred)
• PMP or equivalent project management certification (desirable)
