Job Description: Hardware and Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hardware and Network Engineer to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including computer systems, networking equipment, CCTV systems, Firewall, Wi-Fi and enterprise software. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless technology operations, particularly during club events and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Management

• Conduct regular system checks and hardware diagnostics to ensure optimal performance
• Perform computer formatting and fresh OS installation (Windows 10 & 11)
• Troubleshoot and repair desktop computers, laptops, regular / Network Printers and peripheral devices
• Maintain hardware inventory and recommend upgrades when necessary
• Handle hardware procurement and vendor coordination

Network Administration

• Configure, install, and maintain networking equipment (switches, access points)
• Set up and manage WiFi networks with proper security protocols
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues
• Implement network security measures and firewalls
• Manage IP addressing configurations
• Ensure network uptime and reliability across all locations

CCTV Systems

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras and recording systems
• Monitor surveillance system functionality and address technical issues
• Provide footage retrieval support when required

Event Support

• Provide on-site technical support during club events
• Set up temporary network infrastructure for events
• Ensure all technology systems function smoothly during events
• Knowledge in setting up Google Meet, Teams etc

Software & Security

• Install and configure antivirus software across all systems
• Maintain antivirus definitions and perform regular security scans
• Install, configure, and provide support for ERP-related software
• Manage software licensing and updates
• Assist users with ERP system access and basic troubleshooting

General IT Support

• Provide technical support to staff members
• Document IT procedures and maintain technical documentation
• Respond promptly to IT support tickets and requests
• Train staff on basic system usage and security practices

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 /11 and Windows Server operating systems
• Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Hands-on experience with WiFi setup and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and IP cameras
• Familiarity with antivirus solutions and endpoint security
• Experience with ERP software installation and configuration
• Understanding of network security best practices

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hardware and network support
• Proven track record in IT infrastructure management
• Experience supporting live events is a plus
