Hardware Engineer

**Job Description: On-Site Engineer for School Technology** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled On-Site Engineer to join our school's IT department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of all desktops, laptops, and CCTV systems across our campus. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IT support, with expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining CCTV systems, and providing timely technical assistance to staff and students. **Key Responsibilities:** - Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.) across the school campus. - Monitor and maintain CCTV systems to ensure functionality and security compliance. - Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network. - Respond to service requests and provide technical support to end-users (faculty, staff, and students) in a timely manner. - Collaborate with the IT team to implement IT projects and upgrades as needed. - Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date. - Document technical procedures, configurations, and inventory accurately. - Train end-users on basic IT procedures and best practices. - Adhere to school policies and procedures regarding IT security and data protection. - Assist in the procurement and deployment of IT equipment and software licenses. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. - Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role, preferably in an educational setting. - Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications. - Experience with CCTV systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and wireless technology. **Working Conditions:** - This position is based on-site at the school campus. - Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for system upgrades or emergencies. - Must be able to lift and carry IT equipment and perform physical tasks related to installations and repairs. **Application Process:** Please submit a resume and cover letter outlining your qualifications and experience relevant to this position.
