Description
Job Purpose Plan, organize and ensure engineering & reliability of DC-DC converter with focus on scaling up the system keeping in view of approved budgets and cost optimization measures. Job Accountabilities Accountable for engineering & reliability of DC-DC converter and detailed design review with DEC, ensuring compliance with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, etc.). Accountable for selection of appropriate DC-DC converter keeping in view impact on power system. Accountable for commissioning and testing of DC-DC converter in co-ordination with DEC, OEM & user teams. Accountable to develop and review system design specifications, technical drawings, and component selection for converter. Accountable to collaborate with OEMs, utilities, and EPC contractors to oversee system integration and performance. Accountable for technical guidance on protection and system reliability improvements. Accountable for project schedules, deliverables, and ensure cost-effective execution Accountable for Periodic review of Performance monitoring & benchmarking as per international standards. Accountable for ensuring continuous improvement in design and modification by means of active interaction with stakeholders, optimizing engineering practices Accountable for overseeing Statutory and Regulatory compliance at engineering stage. Accountable for Preparation and review of engineering specification document for DC-DC converter Systems Accountable to liaise with OEMs / packagers / consultants to be abreast of latest trends in technology, design etc. Support for procurement / services scope finalization, vendor selection, validation for DC-DC converter Skills Required (Knowledge And Skills) Expertise in high-frequency power conversion, magnetics design, and advanced control strategies. Profound knowledge in detailed engineering of DC-DC converter. Design and optimize isolated and non-isolated DC-DC converters for grid-tied systems. Select and integrate high-efficiency topologies (Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, LLC, Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge, Dual Active Bridge). Conduct MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM,HIL or PLECS-based modelling and simulation of DC-DC converters. Knowledge of power electronics principles, practices and codes and standards associated with various systems and equipment Knowledge of system sizing calculations, integration techniques. Participate & conduct design reviews with all cross functional teams. Knowledge of industrial testing procedures. Analytical thinking, Managing Ambiguity Decision making, Strategic direction & Managing Change Key Attributes (Experience And Qualifications) Candidate should have BE / B Tech / M Tech in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics with 15 years of experience in detailed engineering of DC-DC converters.
