Government Sales Professional

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue business opportunities within Central Government, State Government, PSUs, and other public sector entities in Delhi/NCR.
• Manage GEM business, tendering processes, RFPs, rate contracts, and e-procurement portals.
• Proven record of 4 to 5 years of doing business with same type of customers.
• Conduct cold calls, networking, and prospecting to establish connections with key officials, departments.
• Present and promote products including laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, storage devices, printers, copiers, scanners, projectors, plotters, UPS, and software solutions to government clients.
• Ensure compliance with government procurement guidelines, technical specifications, and bid requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare technical and commercial proposals for government projects.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to secure long-term contracts and repeat business.
• Monitor government tenders, project announcements, and funding allocations to identify opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience:

  Minimum 4–5 years in government sales (Office Automation & IT industry preferred).

• Knowledge:

  Strong familiarity with government procurement policies, tendering norms, and e-procurement platforms.

• Skills:

  Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written); proficiency in MS Office tools.

• Location Knowledge:

  Well-versed with Delhi/NCR geography.

• Other:

  Own conveyance and laptop; readiness for frequent government department visits and field work.

• Preferred:

  Experience in software sales for government clients will be an added advantage.
