Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a GM - Production located in Hosiery Complex, Noida. As a GM - Production, you will be responsible for managing the entire production process at unit spanning 300+ machines, production planning, quality control, optimizing cost and efficiency, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality garments. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of garment manufacturing processes. ResponsibilitiesOversee Production Operations: Direct and manage all aspects of the production process, from sourcing raw materials to final product delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion of orders.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement production strategies and goals that align with the overall company objectives. Evaluate current production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.Team Leadership: Build and lead a cohesive and high-performing production team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure individual and team success. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the production department.Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain stringent quality control measures throughout the production process. Ensure compliance with industry standards, product specifications, and customer requirements. Implement corrective actions when necessary to address quality issues.Cost Management: Monitor production costs, analyze variances, and develop strategies to control expenses. Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or delivery timelines. Implement measures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, optimize inventory levels, and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain production performance metrics and reporting systems. Regularly monitor and evaluate production efficiency, quality, and employee performance. Prepare reports and present findings to senior management.Setting up SOPs & Processes: Most important task of all is the ability to set up SOPs and Processes for the whole process to smoothen up. Leading and making the whole team follow SOPs and processes for future growth and current processes. Qualifications15+ years of experience in Garment Production ManagementStrong Production Planning and Production Management skillsQuality Control and Manufacturing skillsTeam Leadership experienceIn depth knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and timelinesExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBachelor's degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
