Job Description

Global Business Process Owner (GPO) for Record-to-report


Location – Mumbai

overall design, policies, transformation, and standardization


The GPO will act as the owner for the R2R process, designing and owning the end-to-end process across functional, geographic and business unit boundaries, ensuring standardisation and efficiency, and implementing policies, effective controls and KPIs.


The GPO will take responsibility to monitor, streamline, optimize and potentially redesign these R2R processes and be the designated expert for related systems and technology.



Job Responsibilities


Transformation

  • You will work with the finance transformation programme to advise on the solution deployment, including tools, and create a roadmap for onward improvement;
  • You are the “Technology Watch” for your segment, this means you discover the latest technologies and processes and benchmark these against Agfa;
  • You support design and implementation of the S4/HANA in line with the defined roadmap;
  • You drive the implementation of process changes, to maximize performance, by the use of automation and system capability; you provide training where needed.


People & Organization

  • You work closely together with the process experts in the Global Finance Services (GFS);
  • You communicate and collaborate amongst all stakeholders and peers (IT, business areas, experts, internal customers...) related to the processes within their scope;
  • You are responsible for change management;
  • You manage the relationship with the BPO providers for the RTR area.


Policies & Procedures:

  • You are accountable for the successful design, implementation and continuous improvement of “best in class” standard Global R2R processes;
  • You define, own and maintain the R2R Global Process standards and Policies that are fit for use and that are delivering production and management efficiencies, which leads to high performance;
  • You sign off on design, including localisations, process maps, Desktop procedures (SOPs) and control documentation;
  • You ensure constant, reliable measurement of the proper metrics and KPIs to benchmark and optimize performance on an ongoing basis;




Profile description:

Profile

  • Minimum bachelor degree in Finance with 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; good coaching skills
  • Operational experience of SAP and S4/HANA and working knowledge of broader Finance toolset in driving transformation projects or change initiates
  • Experience of process standardization within a large, global organization
  • Working knowledge of R2R Tools is essential such as Account Reconciliation, Smart closing, Automation in R2R
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the mechanics in the R2R process stream and how these fit into the end-to-end financial process environment
  • Experienced in a Global Business Services environment would be beneficial
  • Capable of managing global and complex projects and ensuring changes are embedded into business as usual process
  • Excellent project management skills to deliver results within time and budget
  • A minimum of 5-10% travel is expected
