Job Description

We are looking for a skilled professional with 15 to 22 years of experience to lead our Global Procurement & Strategic Sourcing function, responsible for managing procurement processes and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, category management, and vendor management.

Roles and Responsibility

Lead the procurement and strategic sourcing function for APIs, raw materials, packaging materials, and capital goods.
Manage contract manufacturing for third-party procurement of finished goods across India, China, and African countries.
Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company's business goals.
Optimize sourcing, supplier management, and procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency and manage bottom-line impact.
Negotiate and manage global contracts.
Contribute to long-term plans and annual operating plans from a sourcing/procurement perspective.

Job Requirements

BE and/or MBA with 15+ years of work experience in procurement of raw materials in the pharma industry.
Possess a good understanding of procurement processes in a pharma setup, commercial acumen, analytical skills, negotiation ability, and supply chain expertise.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of category management, advanced sourcing, vendor management, and complex contract negotiations.
Experience leading multiple categories and sourcing teams within the pharmaceutical (formulations) industry is required.
Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and capital goods.
