GIS Developer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop & customize GIS applications using

  ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, OpenLayers, Google Maps API

• Design & implement spatial databases with

  PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server (with GIS extensions)

• Process & visualize geospatial data using

  Python (Geopandas, GDAL), JavaScript, R

• Integrate GIS with enterprise systems via

  REST, SOAP, GeoServer, WMS/WFS

• Automate workflows using

  Python, JavaScript, SQL

• Work with

  remote sensing, satellite imagery, LiDAR

  data
• Perform

  spatial analysis, geocoding, network analysis

• Ensure application scalability & performance standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams & provide documentation, training, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years

  in GIS development, spatial data management & geospatial programming

  AWS, Google Cloud, Esri Cloud, Azure Maps

  )
• Remote sensing, geocoding, spatial & network analysis
• LiDAR, satellite & drone data processing
• ML/AI in GIS applications
• Containerization (

  Docker, Kubernetes

  )
• Workflow automation with

  ETL tools (FME, GeoKettle)

• CI/CD pipeline management for GIS solutions
• Certifications:

  Esri Technical (ArcGIS Developer/Enterprise/Desktop), GISP, Cloud (AWS GIS specialization)
