Job Summary

The General Manager – Supply Chain will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain operations across India, Canada, Emerging Markets, and Europe. This role will oversee two manufacturing sites (Dewas and Poanta Sahib) and ensure robust supply chain planning, execution, and optimization to meet business goals. The incumbent will play a key role in balancing demand and supply, capacity planning, and inventory management while driving operational excellence.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Capacity Planning: Develop and monitor capacity plans for the Dewas and Poanta Sahib sites to ensure alignment with market demand and organizational objectives.
  • Demand vs. Commit: Analyze demand forecasts, validate commitments, and ensure supply plans are aligned to business requirements.
  • Commit vs. Supply: Monitor supply adherence against commitments, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels across regions to balance working capital, service levels, and risk mitigation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure supply chain resilience.
  • Process Excellence: Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain planning and execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain teams across sites and regions.
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Lead and manage supply chain operations for Canada, Emerging Markets, and Europe, ensuring smooth coordination across regions.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related discipline (MBA preferred).

Specific Certification

Skills

Proficiency in supply chain systems (SAP or equivalent ERP) and advanced analytics tools.

Experience

15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with exposure to pharmaceutical / FMCG / manufacturing industries.
