Job Brief General Manager – RE Projects (Solar and Wind) We are looking for a highly motivated, results-driven leader to oversee our solar and wind energy projects. If you are passionate about renewable energy and have the expertise to manage complex projects from inception to execution, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end management of solar and wind energy projects, including procurement, implementation, and maintenance, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Regulatory Compliance: Spearhead regulatory affairs, ensuring all renewable energy projects comply with local, national, and international regulations and standards. Business Development: Identify, assess, and capitalize on new business opportunities within the renewable energy sector, driving growth and profitability. Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and clients, to foster collaboration and secure project success. Financial Oversight: Oversee project budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are executed within scope, on time, and within budget, while optimizing profitability. Power Trading Participation: Engage in power trading exchanges, analyze market trends, and implement effective trading strategies to enhance revenue generation and portfolio performance. Skills Required Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Management, or a related field. An advanced degree will be an added advantage. Experience: 8-10 years of techno-commercial experience in renewable energy, specifically in the management, procurement, project execution, and maintenance of solar and wind energy projects. Proven Expertise: Demonstrated success in overseeing large-scale renewable energy projects, with a focus on delivering results and maintaining operational excellence. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of renewable energy industry regulations and compliance requirements. Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Experience in managing procurement processes, vendor relationships, and supply chain logistics for energy projects.
