General Manager Operations

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures

• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision

• Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.)

• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics

• Assist CEO in fundraising ventures

• Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.)

• Manage relationships with partners/vendors

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred
• Proven experience in senior leadership roles, with a focus on operations management
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Experience developing and implementing operational strategies and initiatives
• Knowledge of business process optimization, supply chain management, and logistics
• Financial acumen and budget management skills
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the ship repair & upgradation, shipbuilding, defence technology, equipment sales & services, and weapons & electronics industries

• Familiarity with maritime regulations and safety standards

• Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO standards

• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams
