Job Summary: The Plant HR Manager will oversee all HR activities at the manufacturing unit, ensuring smooth operations related to manpower planning, employee relations, statutory compliance, performance management, and employee welfare. The role requires close coordination with plant operations and a hands-on approach to solving day-to-day HR issues. 1. HR Operations & Administration Manage the end-to-end employee life cycle at the plant Maintain HR records, attendance, and shift schedules Ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs in coordination with central HR/Finance Oversee leave and attendance management system 2. Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate hiring for plant-level roles – workers, technicians, engineers, supervisors Conduct joining formalities and plant-specific induction/orientation programs Coordinate with local hiring agencies and skill development centers 3. Employee Relations & Discipline Act as the first point of contact for all grievances and conflict resolution Ensure compliance with labor laws, manage trade union interactions (if any) Implement disciplinary procedures and maintain industrial harmony 4. Statutory Compliance Ensure 100% compliance with Factories Act, ESI, PF, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, etc. Liaise with labor consultants and government authorities for inspections, audits, and documentation Maintain statutory registers, notices, and records 5. Training & Development Identify skill gaps and coordinate for internal and external training sessions Maintain training calendars and records Promote a safety and compliance-driven work culture 6. Performance Management Support timely goal setting, appraisals, and feedback processes for plant staff Maintain employee scorecards and performance data 7. Employee Engagement & Welfare Plan and execute welfare activities (festivals, birthdays, team outings, etc.) Monitor hygiene, safety, and health standards on the shop floor Handle canteen, transport, and other facility-related HR support Required Qualifications: MBA/PGDM in HR or MSW (Master of Social Work) – Full Time Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS/ERP systems Excellent communication skills in local language and Hindi/English Prior experience in handling blue-collar workforce and plant administration
