Job Description

As a General Manager of Pharmaceutical Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote pharmaceutical products both domestically and internationally. Leading the marketing team, you will foster a performance-driven culture and provide guidance to product managers and marketing executives. Your role will involve conducting market research to identify opportunities, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Collaborating with the sales team is essential to align marketing strategies and ensure effective product positioning. You will drive new product launches, manage the lifecycle of existing products, and design and execute promotional campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, and branding strategies. Building strong relationships with key opinion leaders, distributors, and healthcare professionals will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Monitoring marketing performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed, preparing and managing marketing budgets, and ensuring ROI-driven campaigns are part of your daily tasks. Collaboration with R&D and production departments for product development inputs based on market needs is crucial. Developing effective Marketing Plans to meet brand-wise objectives and ensuring unit-wise and rupee value-wise growth of brands through effective marketing strategies are vital components of the role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field, with an MBA in Marketing preferred. A minimum of 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, is required. You should have a proven track record in brand management, market expansion, and team leadership, along with in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, market dynamics, and customer behavior. Strong communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills are essential for success in this role.
