General Manager - Exports (Yarn & Fabric)

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for

  Market/Client identification, Understanding of requirements, timely response, conversion of inquiries in to business, successful execution of Export business

  .
• Increase exports, ensuring Compliance and optimizing the export process for yarn and fabrics and related products while enhancing the company reputation in the global textile market.
• To Oversee the entire export process from order placement to shipment and delivery, coordinating with production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operation.

• Ensures strict compliance with international trade laws, export policies, and documentation requirements, keeping up to date with changes in regulations.

• Identifies and develops new international markets and clients for spun yarns and textile products, crafting export strategies to achieve business growth.
• Negotiate with buyers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents to achieve cost-effective and timely delivery.
• Manage relationships with overseas clients, ensures customer satisfaction, and resolves shipment or documentation issues.
• Oversee preparation of all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and consignment tracking and ensuring traceability requirements.
• Conducts market research to keep abreast of international trends in textiles and participate in international trade shows or fairs as needed.
• Collaborates with the finance team for payments, invoicing, and regular reporting to upper management.
• Monitor performance metrics such as export sales growth, order fulfilment rates, and customer retention in international markets.

Preferred candidate profile

Ideal Candidate

• Graduates/Post graduates/ MBA graduates in the age bracket of45 to 50 years witharound 18 to 20 years of experience in sales and marketing of Yarn and Fabric (Exports)

• Should have good experience and knowledge of EPCG Licenses, DGFT, RODTEP, DRAWBACK and Govt. Incentives and other updated export related information.

• Should have good Knowledge about LC and its clauses, UCPDC guidelines.

• Should have good experience export of Cotton Yarns, Polyester blended yarns, PC yarns, Slub yarns, CVC Yarns, Supima Yarns

• Should have good experience in export of Fabric Suiting & Shirting, Jacquards, Bed Linens, Towels, Grey fabrics, Dyed Fabrics, Uniforms etc.

• Should have excellent communication skills
• Candidate should be willing to work out of Coimbatore
• CTC Max 30 LPA.
