About the Role

General Manager – Automobile Sales

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and supervise sales teams across multiple locations (Nagercoil, Tirunelveli & Trivandrum).
  • Develop and implement monthly/quarterly sales strategies to achieve volume and revenue targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to optimize sales planning.
  • Drive sales of new vehicles, accessories, value-added products and exchange programs.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and performance-manage sales consultants and team leaders.
  • Conduct regular sales reviews, team meetings, and performance evaluations.
  • Build a high-performing and customer-focused sales team culture.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure exceptional customer experience from inquiry to delivery.
  • Handle high-level customer escalations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Build long-term relations with fleet buyers, corporate clients, and high-value customers.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily sales operations, stock management, vehicle allocation, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with service, finance, insurance, and administration departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and audit requirements.

Business Growth & Revenue Enhancement

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and promotional activities.
  • Maximize dealership profitability through effective cost control and upselling.
  • Achieve targets for retail, corporate, fleet, and digital leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business/Marketing preferred).
  • 20+ years experience in automobile sales, with at least 10 years in a managerial or branch head role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work across multiple branch locations.
