Job Description

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: Role Overview: You will play a crucial role in overseeing and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger. This involves reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS. Your duties will also include monitoring GL accounts for discrepancies and collaborating with the local finance teams globally to initiate corrective actions. Key Responsibilities: - General Ledger Control: - Reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions - Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies - Monitoring GL accounts for discrepancies and taking corrective actions - Audit and Compliance: - Coordinating internal and external audits - Preparing audit schedules and responses to auditor queries - Supporting the implementation of audit recommendations - Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards - Financial Consolidation: - Assisting in the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities - Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data consolidation - Preparing consolidation schedules and reports for senior leadership - Reporting and Analysis: - Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports - Providing analysis on cost structures, revenues, and profitability - Maximizing automation of analytical and ad hoc reports - Internal Controls: - Designing and implementing strong internal controls - Conducting regular reviews of financial procedures - Training junior staff on GL control processes and audit compliance - Cross-functional Collaboration: - Working with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial data - Partnering with IT and system teams to align financial software with business requirements Qualification Required: - Education: CA, Semi qualified CA - Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) - Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle HFM and Microsoft D-365) and advanced Excel skills - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills - Experience with audit preparation and compliance requirements (Note: The additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description),
