Job Summary

Garment Technical Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Development

• Translate design sketches and specifications into accurate technical packs.
• Review garment patterns, size specifications, and construction methods.
• Support sample development, ensuring fit and finish meet required standards.

• Production Support

• Work closely with production merchants, workshop staff and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor and optimize sewing operations, fabric utilization, and throughput efficiency in the garmenting unit
• Conduct pre-production checks to ensure readiness of trims, fabrics, and machinery.

• Quality & Compliance

• Ensure garments meet brand quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Recommend corrective actions for quality deviations.

• Process Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks in the garmenting unit and propose solutions to improve workflow.
• Provide technical training and guidance to production staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Degree in Garment Technology or Fashion Technology or related field.
• 1-2 years’ experience in garment production, technical design, or manufacturing. Freshers can also apply
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, sewing techniques, and fabric behaviour.
• Familiarity with production planning and planning systems, lean manufacturing, and quality control methods.
• Proficient in garment CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects.
