Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Garment Technical Specialist to support our production processes from sampling through bulk manufacturing. The role involves overseeing garment construction, ensuring technical accuracy, monitoring quality standards, and collaborating with design, sourcing, and production teams to deliver high-quality garments on time and within cost parameters. Key Responsibilities Technical Development Translate design sketches and specifications into accurate technical packs. Review garment patterns, size specifications, and construction methods. Support sample development, ensuring fit and finish meet required standards. Production Support Work closely with production merchants, workshop staff and suppliers to resolve technical issues. Monitor and optimize sewing operations, fabric utilization, and throughput efficiency in the garmenting unit Conduct pre-production checks to ensure readiness of trims, fabrics, and machinery. Quality & Compliance Ensure garments meet brand quality, safety, and compliance requirements. Recommend corrective actions for quality deviations. Process Improvement Identify bottlenecks in the garmenting unit and propose solutions to improve workflow. Provide technical training and guidance to production staff. Qualifications & Skills Diploma/Degree in Garment Technology or Fashion Technology or related field. 1-2 years’ experience in garment production, technical design, or manufacturing. Freshers can also apply Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, sewing techniques, and fabric behaviour. Familiarity with production planning and planning systems, lean manufacturing, and quality control methods. Proficient in garment CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex) is an advantage. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects.
