Garment Merchandiser

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Export Garment Merchant to manage international buyer coordination, sampling, production follow-ups, quality assurance, and export documentation to ensure smooth execution of garment export orders from inquiry to final shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle international buyer communication for enquiries, costing, sampling, and order confirmations.
• Prepare and negotiate cost sheets, price quotations, and margins.
• Coordinate sample development (proto, fit, SMS, PPS, size set) and ensure timely approvals.
• Manage fabric, trims, and accessories sourcing with suppliers.
• Plan and track production schedules from cutting to finishing and packing.
• Ensure quality standards and compliance as per buyer and international norms.
• Monitor in-line, pre-final, and final inspections.
• Coordinate with shipping, CHA, and logistics teams for export documentation and dispatch.
• Prepare and verify export documents: Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, Inspection Certificate, etc.
• Track ETD, ETA, and shipment follow-ups.
• Handle buyer audits, compliance, and factory evaluations.
• Maintain updated WIP, T&A, and shipment reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate / Diploma in Textiles, Fashion, or Garment Technology.
• Strong knowledge of export merchandising processes & international trade terms (Incoterms).
• Hands-on experience in fabric & trim sourcing, costing, sampling, and production control.
• Excellent communication skills (English mandatory; additional languages a plus).
• Strong command of MS Excel, ERP, and documentation systems.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple buyers.
• Knowledge of AQL, quality systems, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with US buyers.
• Knowledge of woven, knit, and/or handicraft garments.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
