Key Competencies:

• Proven experience leading Unity game development teams, with a strong focus on performance, stability (high CFR), and mobile-first gameplay experiences.

• Prior experience managing a full stack team in the game development studio

• Hands-on management experience leading high-performing teams of engineers and/or engineering managers

  • Hire, retain, and develop the careers of the engineers on your team

  • Coach and motivate your team to ensure high productivity and teamwork, and help each individual achieve their potential

• Encourage and drive initiatives that promote innovation and technical excellence

  • Interface with other internal teams to prioritize features and functionality based on the resources available and business priorities

  • Clearly communicate any risk areas to upper management and come up with risk mitigation plans

• Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

  • Experience communicating highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Work with Product Leadership and core engineering teams to develop and track detailed schedules, dependencies and critical paths

  • Collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders, including Product Management, Finance, Data teams, etc

• Nice to have: Expertise in integrating Unity with React Native SDKs, ensuring seamless cross-platform communication and optimized hybrid architecture.

Experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in mobile and/or game development, including Unity and cross-platform technologies.

• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, leading teams of 5+ engineers across gameplay, SDK, or platform engineering.

• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and performance optimization across both iOS and Android platforms.

• Experience designing scalable systems, reviewing code, and maintaining high-quality standards across engineering teams.

• Background in the gaming industry

• Strong tenure in past roles (2+ years per role) with a consistent track record of career progression and team impact.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
