Job Description

As a Senior Associate for Alternative Investment Services at State Street, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounting and valuations of Private Equity & Hedge Funds for Limited Partners. You will work closely with a team of accountants dedicated to Alternative Investment Administration Services. **Primary Responsibilities & Skill Sets:** - Have 4+ years of experience in Alternative ops. - Ensure meeting SLAs for quality and timeliness with assigned clients. - Act as an auditor for the processors under your supervision. - Collaborate with the reporting manager for continuous process improvements. - Coordinate with global teams within the organization. - Serve as a point of contact for client issues, queries, and escalations. - Participate in Client Calls and provide solutions along with internal State Street teams. - Work during US hours. **Functional Skill Set:** - Strong analytical skills to handle large data sets related to Private Equity & Hedge Funds. - Perform end-to-end accounting and valuations of Private Equity & Hedge Funds. - Interpret PCAP's, ILPA's, Notices, and LOD's for capital activities. - Resolve cash breaks within 30 days of aging. - Review and validate executed controls. - Identify and resolve errors during reviews. - Coach processors during fund audits. - Good understanding of Alternative Investments and accounting as per US GAAP or IFRS. - Knowledge of asset classes traded in primary & secondary markets and OTC. - Proficiency in Python tools for managing complex data sets. **Risk Management:** - Apply controls and provide sign-off through established checklists. - Assess issues and identify control gaps. - Support in evaluating and remediating Operational Incidents. **Educational Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management. - Proficiency in Python tools.
