Fund Administration / Process & Technology

Role Overview

The Associate Accountant – Fund Admin (Process Tech) will support middle and back office operations for fund clients, focusing on portfolio accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, and process/technology enhancements. The role combines core fund accounting responsibilities with involvement in process automation, system support, and user training across tools like Geneva, GWI, H2 apps, and Hexaview.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting & Middle/Back Office

  • Gather external statements (prime broker, custodian) and support for recurring expenses (legal, audit, admin, tax, directors’ fees, etc.).
  • Perform pricing of fund investments using external price sources (for Geneva clients) and upload daily trades, dividends, interest, corporate actions, and cash activities to portfolio accounting systems.
  • Prepare daily equity, position, and cash reconciliations; investigate and resolve trade breaks and reconciling items.
  • Prepare and/or update trial balance, income statement, balance sheet, capital allocations, capital letters, expense summaries, and management fee schedules.
  • Ensure accurate partners’ profit/loss allocation (capital or commitment ratios), fee calculations, income/expense accruals, and correct tax character classification.
  • Prepare reporting packages and accounting entries for Geneva clients, ensuring full documentation and audit-ready working papers.
  • Monitor client mailboxes, process ad hoc requests (distributions, drawdowns, etc.), and prepare wires in treasury portals for cash control engagements.

Audit Support & Financial Statements

  • Coordinate annual audits, prepare year-end schedules (cost roll-forward, cash reconciliation, cash flows, financial highlights), and support auditor requests.
  • Draft fund financial statements and note disclosures, and submit timely drafts for internal review.

Process & Technology (PT) Support

  • Assist PT Seniors/Managers in resolving system-related issues (Geneva, GWI, H2 apps, Hexaview, etc.) raised by client service teams.
  • Support process automation projects and migration of funds to target systems, including testing customizations and system enhancements.
  • Conduct trainings on systems usage and coordinate with internal teams on process improvements and automation requirements.
  • Help monitor and maintain software and systems to ensure they remain updated and effective
