Full Stack Java Developer — Calicut (In‑person)

Own backend systems for a global fleet SaaS (AVLView) processing high‑volume telemetry.

Stack: Java 17, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS (ECS/RDS), Kafka/RabbitMQ, Hibernate, PostgreSQL.

What you’ll do: Design and scale microservices, optimise performance (p95/p99), mentor developers, and ship reliable features.

Must‑haves: 3+ years with Java/Spring Boot, production microservices, AWS experience, strong SQL/NoSQL fundamentals.

Apply by Oct 15 with a brief performance story (latency, throughput, cost optimisation) and a code sample.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end development: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Build robust, reusable Java services and libraries; enforce clean architecture and patterns.
• Own performance: instrument services, analyse bottlenecks, and improve p95/p99 latency and throughput.
• Integrate features with cross‑functional teams; ensure quality via automated tests and CI/CD.
• Mentor junior engineers; review code with an eye for reliability, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional Java experience; strong OOP and design patterns.
• Hands‑on with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs, and microservices in production.
• Experience with cloud services on AWS (ECS/EC2, RDS/PostgreSQL, S3); familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ is a plus.
• Solid SQL/NoSQL fundamentals; performance tuning and observability (logs/metrics/traces).
• Git and modern workflows; clear communication and problem‑solving.
• In‑person role in Calicut (no remote).

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, HAProxy, caching layers, and distributed systems.
• Track record improving cost/performance (e.g., query tuning, connection pooling, caching).
