About The Role
We are seeking a
Back-End Developer
with strong
NestJS
expertise, capable of building scalable, secure, and high-performance multi-tenant systems. You’ll join a
globally distributed team
working on a veterinary care platform for
20,000+ clinics across 100+ countries
.This role focuses on
server-side development
, with some exposure to
Next.js
for seamless front-end integration, and includes
migration from Vercel to AWS
.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, optimize, and maintain NestJS APIs and back-end services.
- Migrate existing Next.js API routes and Supabase functions to a NestJS + AWS architecture.
- Design and implement multi-tenant back-end architectures ensuring scalability and performance.
- Develop core back-end modules for:
- Data Extraction – Integrate OCR, LLMs, and AI-powered data processing pipelines.
- Dynamic Scheduling – Handle resource allocation logic and workflow orchestration.
- Dynamic Pricing – Implement real-time pricing engines based on business rules and utilization.
- Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure smooth API integration.
- Ensure secure, reliable data handling across multiple regions.
- Actively use AI coding assistants to speed up back-end development.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong NestJS expertise and JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency.
- Familiarity with Next.js for API collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, etc.) for scalable deployments.
- Experience in multi-tenant systems and database schema design.
- Proficiency in Supabase or similar databases.
- Strong background in complex business logic implementation (scheduling, pricing).
- Experience integrating AI/LLM-based data processing pipelines.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices patterns.
- Experience in healthcare/veterinary or scheduling-intensive applications.
- Prior experience with large-scale consumer-facing platforms.

Engagement Details

- Exit clause: 14 days’ notice within the first 3 months; 30 days’ notice thereafter.
