Frontend engineer

• Role: Full-time
  

• Build and maintain responsive, pixel-perfect dashboard UIs using modern JS frameworks (Next.js, SvelteKit, Nuxt, Remix or equivalent).
• Translate Figma/Sketch designs into accessible, performant web components and re-usable UI libraries.
• Integrate frontend components with REST/GraphQL APIs and real-time data sources (WebSockets/Server-Sent Events) to power live visualisations.
• Implement interactive, high-throughput data visualisations (charts, tables, maps) and optimise rendering for large datasets.
• Apply test-driven development practices—write unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Drive frontend performance improvements (bundle splitting, memoisation, lazy loading) and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for safe releases.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years building production web applications in a product-led company or startup environment.
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Next.js, SvelteKit, Nuxt, Remix, or React).
• Experience integrating with RESTful or GraphQL APIs and working with real-time data streams.
• Proven ability to build responsive, accessible interfaces and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with unit testing/TDD (Jest, Testing Library) and Git-centred workflows.
  

Preferred

• TypeScript expertise and experience maintaining typed frontend codebases.
• Experience with data visualisation libraries (D3, Chart.js, Recharts) and performance tuning for large datasets.
• Knowledge of Web Vitals, bundle optimisation, and client-side performance profiling.
• Exposure to mobile/web cross-platform frameworks (React Native / Flutter) or PWAs.
• Open-source contributions or a portfolio showcasing shipped products or dashboards.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, container-based deployments, and monitoring of frontend telemetry.
