Front Desk Receptionist

Position: Front Desk Receptionist
Department: Front Office
Location: Mortakka Omkareshwar Main road, 60KM from Indore
Reports to: Front Office Manager / Admin Manager

Role Overview:

The Front Desk Receptionist will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth check-in/check-out process. The role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle guest queries efficiently while maintaining a positive image of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests, visitors, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain the front desk area, lobby, and reception neat and presentable.
  • Handle guest complaints and issues professionally, escalating to the manager when necessary.
  • Manage reservations, room allocations, and coordinate with housekeeping and other departments.
  • Maintain visitor logs, records, and daily reports accurately.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / hotel management software (if applicable).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards.
  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a receptionist/front desk role (hospitality experience preferred).
  • Fluency in English and Hindi (additional languages will be an advantage).

Work Conditions:

  • Shift-based work including weekends and holidays as per hotel requirements.
  • Uniform and grooming standards to be maintained as per company policy.
