Job Title: Kitchen Steward Department: Food & Beverage – Kitchen Stewarding Reports To: Stewarding Supervisor / Executive Chef Job Summary: The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, utensils, and equipment. They support chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring a clean and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils using manual and machine methods. Clean kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and work surfaces regularly. Collect and dispose of kitchen waste appropriately. Ensure dishwashing and pot washing areas are kept tidy and organized. Store clean dishes and kitchen tools in designated areas. Assist chefs with basic preparation tasks when required. Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at all times. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor. Skills & Qualifications: No formal education required; basic literacy preferred. Prior experience in kitchen stewarding is an advantage. Physically fit and able to work in a hot, fast-paced environment. Attention to cleanliness and hygiene. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
