Job Overview:

The Formulation Plant Head is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the formulation plant. This role ensures that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The position requires a strong understanding of formulation processes, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

- Oversee daily operations of the formulation plant to ensure production goals are met.

- Implement and maintain effective production schedules.

- Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, machinery, and materials.

2. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Develop and implement quality control procedures.

- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high-quality production.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to all relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, GMP).

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments.

4. Team Management:

- Lead, train, and motivate the production team.

- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills.

- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.

5. Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.

- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as needed.

6. Safety Management & related compliances

- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.

- Conduct regular safety training and drills.

- Investigate and report any safety incidents.

7. Inventory Management:

- Oversee inventory levels and ensure the timely procurement of raw materials.

- Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.

8. Budget Management:

- Prepare and manage the plants budget.

- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

9. Technology and Equipment Management:

- Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of equipment.

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve plant operations.
