Job Title : Foreign Education Consultant & Student Mentor Location : Prabhadevi, Mumbai (Work from Office) Experience : 3+ years preferred Industry : Education / Study Abroad Consulting Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Career Counselor with deep expertise in Ivy League admissions to guide high school students in building strong academic and extracurricular profiles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the U.S. college admissions landscape, particularly for top-tier universities such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and other Ivy League institutions. Key Responsibilities: Personalized Counseling: Conduct one-on-one sessions with students and parents to assess strengths, interests, and academic goals. Provide a structured roadmap for Ivy League admission tailored to each student’s aspirations and timeline. Profile Building: Guide students in selecting advanced coursework, summer programs, internships, and extracurricular activities that align with Ivy League expectations. Help students develop leadership initiatives, research projects, and social impact ventures to strengthen their application profile. Application Strategy : Assist students in creating a balanced college list (reach, target, and safety schools). Craft compelling application narratives and advise on essays, personal statements, and supplemental questions. Documentation Support : Guide students in creating outstanding resumes, securing strong letters of recommendation, and building online portfolios (if applicable). Interview Preparation: Conduct mock interviews and provide personalized feedback to help students prepare for alumni and admissions interviews. Monitoring & Reporting: Track student progress, maintain session records, and provide regular updates to parents and internal teams. Research & Updates: Stay up to date on evolving Ivy League admissions trends, standardized testing policies (SAT/ACT), and financial aid requirements. Key Requirements: Proven track record of successfully mentoring students for Ivy League or top 20 U.S. universities. Minimum 3 years of experience in college admissions counseling, education consulting, or a related field. Deep understanding of U.S. admissions processes, including holistic review, standardized testing, and essay writing. Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. Empathetic, student-first mindset with strong organizational abilities. Bachelor's degree required; a Master’s in Education, Psychology, or Counseling is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with international school students (e.g., IB, A-Level, AP curricula). Knowledge of test-optional trends and alternatives to standardized testing.
