Job Title: Fleet Manager – 32-Feet Vehicle Operations

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to ₹24,000/month

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in large fleet or 32-ft vehicle operations (preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Driver Management

• Hire, onboard, and manage drivers specialized in handling 32-ft container/tautliner vehicles.
• Ensure all driver documents (license, RC, ID proofs, background checks) are verified and current.
• Conduct regular driver briefings on safe driving practices and SOPs for long-haul trips.
• Handle driver disputes, monitor behavior, and ensure adherence to company discipline.

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance

• Schedule preventive maintenance and service of 32-ft vehicles to avoid breakdowns.
• Maintain fitness, insurance, permit, emission, and road tax documentation for each vehicle.
• Coordinate with trusted workshops and vendors for cost-effective maintenance and part replacement.
• Ensure compliance with national logistics standards (e.g., FASTag, AIS-140 compliance).

3. Fuel & Cost Management

• Track daily fuel consumption, mileage, and usage for long-distance routes.
• Identify areas for reducing idle time, unauthorized driving, and fuel misuse.
• Analyze trip-wise expenses and optimize cost per km through better planning.

4. Route Planning & Tracking

• Plan and assign trips based on load requirements from clients like Amazon, BlueDart, etc.
• Track real-time vehicle location using GPS systems; ensure no unauthorized halts.
• Ensure vehicles meet dispatch, transit, and delivery deadlines with minimal empty return trips.
• Monitor driver duty hours, rest stops, and ensure compliance with safe driving regulations.

5. Client Coordination

• Coordinate pickup/delivery schedules with 3PL partners such as Amazon, BlueDart, Flipkart, Delhivery, etc.
• Maintain professional communication and timely updates on ETA, delays, and driver issues.
• Handle documentation required by clients (PODs, e-way bills, TAT reports).

Experience & Skills

• Prior experience managing 32-ft long vehicle fleets is mandatory/preferred.
• Knowledge of all-India transport routes, long-haul compliance, and driver shift scheduling.
• Should be tech-savvy with GPS systems, MS Excel, and transport tracking software.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage pressure during peak delivery timelines or emergencies.
