Job Description

Job Title: Fleet Executive
Location: Bhubaneswar
Department: Operations / Logistics
Reports To: Fleet Manager / Operations Head

Job Summary:

The Fleet Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of company-owned or leased vehicles. This includes vehicle scheduling, maintenance tracking, driver management, documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and transport regulations to support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Operations & Scheduling
  • Plan and coordinate daily vehicle schedules for deliveries, pickups, and business travel.
  • Monitor vehicle utilization and optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintenance & Repairs
  • Track and schedule regular servicing and maintenance of vehicles.
  • Coordinate with service centers and workshops for timely repairs and inspections.
  • Maintain records of vehicle performance and repairs.
  • Driver Management
  • Assign drivers to vehicles as per operational requirements.
  • Monitor driver attendance, performance, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Arrange training sessions on defensive driving and safety regulations.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure all vehicle documents (RC, insurance, permits, pollution certificates, etc.) are valid and updated.
  • Maintain records of fuel usage, mileage, tolls, and related expenses.
  • Comply with state and central transport regulations.
  • Fuel & Cost Control
  • Monitor fuel consumption and implement measures to reduce wastage.
  • Prepare periodic reports on fleet expenses and suggest cost-saving strategies.
  • Safety & Risk Management
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures for vehicles and drivers.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents involving company vehicles and report findings.
  • Reporting
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet operation reports for management review.
  • Suggest improvements in fleet management processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transportation laws, and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, fleet tracking software, and GPS systems.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
