What would you do?

The Investments FP&A team serve as a gatekeeper for reviewing the financial results holistically to build a federated invested asset forecast. The team has multifaceted roles in assessing invested asset trends based on the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with a focus on identifying key themes of exhibited market conditions/macro-economic drivers as a basis for forecasting. Marrying historic trends with future macro-economic modelled scenario conditions allows us to create a bottoms-up investment forecast through a proprietary forecasting modelling platform, known as ACE (Accounting Calculation Engine). ACE was designed to capture the impact of economic scenarios on financial results by translating economic input into accounting outputs. The key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Quantitative and Qualitative analysis of invested assets; identifying asset class and/or security trends, creating storylines to bridge actuals to forecast
  • Develop and leverage technology to automate current excel based processes as well as building insightful data visualizations
  • Enhancing our current forecasting capabilities with a focus on making the forecasting process more agile, providing visibility and context for the drivers of the metrics, and ability to articulate the results across various audiences The ideal candidate should have the following:
  • Position requires: a highly motivated and creative individual; strategic mindset; strong written and spoken communication skills; robust attention to detail and accuracy; and strong knowledge of finance
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred; professional certification heavily favored (e.g., CFA or FSA)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with data visualization tools
  • Comfortably performing effectively in a fast-paced environment that requires problem solving
  • Supportive of effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders, demonstrating strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to train others with varying levels of knowledge and skill sets
  • Competency in self-managing multiple priorities What are we looking for?

  • In this role you are required to do analysis and solving of moderately complex problems
  • May create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
  • The person would require understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor
  • May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture
  • Guidance would be provided when determining methods and procedures on new assignments

  • Individual would manage small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture
