Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a Finance Controller with 78 years of relevant experience to manage the financial operations of our manufacturing unit. The role will focus on financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, cost control, and MIS. The Finance Controller will work closely with plant operations, procurement, and senior management to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the manufacturing unit.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and recommend corrective actions.

Cash Flow & Working Capital

  • Prepare and monitor cash flow statements to ensure liquidity for plant operations.
  • Track receivables, payables, and inventory to optimize working capital.
  • Ensure timely vendor and statutory payments.

MIS & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and dashboards for management.
  • Finalize unit-level financial statements in line with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.

Costing & Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate standard costing for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Track consumption, wastage, and yield to highlight inefficiencies.
  • Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconciliations.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Strengthen internal controls for procurement, production, and sales processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (CA/CMA/CPA preferred).
  • 7-8 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, cash flow, MIS, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems like Tally and MS Excel.
  • Good analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
