About this role: The Associate will play a critical role in maintenance and reconciliation of books and will assist with loan setups and ad hoc reports required by management. This position will have significant growth potential in responsibilities as the company grows. Responsibilities: Overall, the individual will assist with the following: Assist in setting up the deal in platform for various products which would require in-depth understanding of each product Reconcile daily bank activity and part of client loan servicing and maintenance Maintain sub-ledger accounting for client portfolios Track and modify loan payments, as necessary Knowledge of the Customer contracts Responsible for providing MCA statements, zero balance request and payoff letter request Verifying the outstanding quoted in statements with that of actual balance as per platform Maintain Corporate books - post revenue and expense related journal entries into the accounting system and review payments Remit funds to borrower through NACHA Understanding of the Lending history Ability to handle large volumes of transactions Requirements: 3+ years’ experience in accounting/ reconciliation/ deal set up/ payment or wire processing. Educational background - Degree in Accounting / Finance like BCOM(H), M Com, MBA Knowledge and application of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is preferred Strong Excel skills needed like pivot tables, v-look ups, Finance functions etc. Financial modeling/ SQL- technical skills preferred Eye for details with analytics skills are must Good communications skills Must work in US hours
