Role Overview


As a Financial Advisor at Policybazaar, you will play a key role in helping customers achieve their financial goals. You will engage directly with potential clients, understand their financial needs and risk appetite, and recommend suitable financial solutions—including insurance, mutual funds, NPS, retirement plans, and other investment instruments. You will also guide them through the onboarding, documentation, and decision-making process to ensure a seamless experience.


Key Responsibilities


Customer Engagement:


Interact with customers (via calls, video meetings, or in-person) to understand their financial goals, life stage, income, and risk preferences.


Build long-term relationships by providing consistent and value-driven advisory support.


Financial Advisory & Product Recommendation:


Analyze customer profiles to suggest appropriate financial products such as Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Term Plans, Mutual Funds, NPS, Fixed Income Products, etc.


Explain product features, benefits, and suitability to enable informed decisions.


Ensure compliance with IRDAI, SEBI, and company guidelines while recommending products.


Sales & Revenue Generation:


Drive sales by converting leads into successful policy or investment purchases.


Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets across multiple financial product categories.


Maintain accurate sales records and update CRM systems regularly.


Customer Onboarding & Support:


Guide customers through the entire onboarding and application process, ensuring a smooth experience.


Coordinate with internal teams for policy issuance, renewals, and post-sale support.


Provide after-sales service and assist in renewals or portfolio reviews.


Market Awareness & Learning:


Stay updated on market trends, new product launches, and regulatory updates in the financial sector.


Participate in regular product and soft-skill training sessions conducted by Policybazaar.


Required Skills & Competencies


Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.


Strong analytical and consultative selling approach.


Sound understanding of financial and investment products (insurance, mutual funds, NPS, etc.).


Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored financial solutions.


Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and target-driven mindset.


Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.


Qualifications & Experience


Education: Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.


Certifications: IRDA/AMFI/NISM certifications preferred (or must be willing to obtain within the onboarding period).


Experience:


1–4 years of experience in financial advisory, insurance sales, banking, or wealth management.


Freshers with strong communication and financial aptitude may also be considered.
