Finance Manager

As a member of the finance team at Charter Manufacturing, your role will involve executing the finance combination plan in collaboration with Corporate finance and the business. You will be responsible for leading financial reporting during monthly closing processes and providing insightful analysis to facilitate decision-making. Your duties will also include reporting pricing, cost, and margin information to management, conducting return on investment analysis, and assisting with forecasting and budgeting. With a continuous improvement mindset, you will oversee the finance function to optimize workflow efficiency. Moreover, you will work closely with business leaders to offer financial insights and analysis for effective decision-making. To be eligible for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and possess at least four years of accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in cost accounting and ERP systems are essential for this position. Additionally, you should be adept at building cross-functional relationships and leading teams to drive continuous improvement. Preferred qualifications for this role include certifications such as CMA, CPA, or MBA, along with extensive accounting experience and knowledge of financial systems like Oracle Financials and Hyperion Planning. Experience in workflow re-engineering, Six Sigma certification, and team leadership training are also desirable. Your major accountabilities will involve executing the finance combination plan, leading the monthly financial close process, ensuring financial statement integrity, providing operational insights, establishing budgets and goals, and supporting pricing strategies. You will also lead cost accounting projects, conduct margin analysis, review costing procedures, and champion efforts to enhance financial controls and procedures. In this role, you will report to the Business President and will be required to manage multiple tasks from various levels of management while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining accuracy in financial reporting. You will need to exhibit strong leadership skills, develop team capabilities, and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives within the organization.
