Job Description and Candidate Profile Position Accounts Payable Function Finance Place of Service Bangalore Reporting To Manager We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Associate to manage end-to-end accounts payable operations. This role will handle monthly book closures, provisions, prepaid expense accounting, creditors reconciliations, audit support, and MIS reporting. Responsibilities and Mandate Accounts Payable Operations Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments. Monitor AP aging and ensure compliance with payment terms. Liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationships. Monthly Book Closure Ensure all AP entries are posted and reconciled before monthly financial closure. Review expense cut-offs and coordinate with relevant departments for completeness. Monthly Provisions Calculate and book monthly provisions for unbilled expenses and liabilities. Validate provision entries with past trends and future estimates. Prepaid Expenses Track and amortize prepaid expenses monthly. Ensure correct classification and timely recognition of expenses. Creditors Reconciliation Perform monthly reconciliation of vendor balances. Investigate and resolve mismatches between company books and vendor statements. Audit Support Prepare AP-related audit schedules and supporting documents. Respond to internal and external audit queries. Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies. MIS Reporting Generate AP MIS reports: AP aging, vendor-wise spend, due payments, etc. Provide analysis to support management decision-making and budgeting. Education : B.Com from a recognized university. Experience : Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
