About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Finance Executive

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Accounting

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Prepare and record journal entries, maintain general ledgers and reconcile accounts.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances and ensure timely vendor payments.

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other tax filings.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal/external audits and ensure timely closure of financial books.

3. Payroll & Expense Management

• Process monthly payroll and maintain employee reimbursement/expense records.
• Verify and approve expense claims in alignment with company policies.

4. Startup-Focused Financial Operations

• Support founders with financial projections, MIS reports and investor-ready data.
• Help set up financial processes, controls and automation to scale operations.
• Track burn rate, runway and provide insights into cost optimization.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain vendor contracts, payment cycles and credit terms.
• Coordinate with banks, financial institutions and internal teams for financial operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter preferred but not mandatory).
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, bookkeeping and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment.
