Job Description

As a Finance Controller at MGM Muthu Hotels in Jamaica, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the hotel. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing all financial operations such as accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. - Ensuring the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. - Monitoring cash flow, revenues, and expenditures to maintain effective cost control and profitability. - Developing and implementing internal financial controls, procedures, and audit systems. - Liaising with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities. - Providing strategic financial insights to management for decision-making. - Supervising and guiding the finance and accounting team. - Supporting management in planning and implementing cost-saving initiatives. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/CA qualification preferred). - Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. - Proficiency in hotel accounting systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
